Xan Padrón

Bio

Xan Padrón (Galicia, Spain 1969) is a musician, composer and photographer. He received his first camera at the age of 12 from his Godfather, who was a renowned photo-journalist. In 1983 he first established his darkroom. Although his career is focused in Spanish music and culture, his passion as a photographer is devoted to the life of the others. His portraits of artists have been published worldwide in newspapers (El Mundo, La Voz de Galicia, The Wall Street Journal, El Pais), magazines (La Buena Vida, Fugas, Culturas, Auria, Inside Arts, The Writers Magazine), concert programs (Metropolitan Museum, Chicago Symphony Hall, Lincoln Center), posters and CD covers. Xan Padrón’s solo exhibitions include Café de la Princesa Gallery in Barcelona with the project Visions of New York and El Cercano in Galicia. His Time-Lapse Series was selected for the the June and November 2017 editions of The Other Art Fair in New York City presented by Saatchi Art and was received with overwhelming enthusiasm by art collectors.
